Both shows are at the Sherwood Music Center

The May 7th show is for the public- tickets are $10 for sudents, $15 for adults

May 13th show is free- students have higher prioriy but all are welcome

DEAF MUSIC CAMP AUDITION DEADLINE EXTENDED
The deadline for this summer’s Deaf Music Camp (DMC) audition will be extended from March 15th, 2011 to April 20th, 2011. The deadline has been extended in response to numerous requests from students asking for more time to submit their work. In connection with this extension DMC is appealing the general public to encourage young student artists to audition for the camp.

DMC is an unique summer program for deaf and hard of hearing students from ages 14 to 18. The camp will be held at Brooklyn, Michigan on July 17-29, 2011. Our program offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in a learning experience that allows them to explore the use of visual and audio art through four mediums of art: Music & Sound, Multimedia Arts, Dance & Movement, and Song Translation.

DMC is also seeking sponsors and donors to support and help defer the cost of hosting DMC. Is the audience ready to embrace a movie featuring Deaf African-American culture and their lifestyle? What about the Deaf and Hard-of Hearing community? This is NOT a movie about Deafness, Sexual Orientation, or Black and White issues. It's a story about humanity, human connections, and the human consciousness of the mind.  A story that Hollywood never recount such remarkable life experience, our own anecdote.

This once in a lifetime experience will not be possible without your generous donations. Now that the film is completed, most of the funds will go toward post expenses such as festival submission fees, deferment salaries, PR, advertisement and promotional materials, tape-to-tape conversions, etc. 

Additionally, your support will help us generate more buzz for this film and participate in as many film festivals and private screenings, which can also lead to our search to seek out co-collaborators to finance our next feature film project, THE DOUBLE LIFE OF ZHANE AZELE. The more exposure this film receives, the better the demand for more film story of this type that our audiences and communities so richly deserved.
